havening in asia
Thailand- February 2025
Humanitarian Havening entered Asia first in Krabi, Thailand where we taught at a primary school and a nursery school with the help of a young teacher and her mother, who is also a teacher. In the primary school we taught Havening to the teachers first, and then we and the young teacher led the students. At the preschool no one spoke much English and we all found our way together doing Havening. What we noticed most is how much we were able to convey without language and how easy and appealing Havening was for the young children. We also witnessed how quickly our contact teacher was able to understand and convey in her own words the value and essence of Havening to the students. These were very promising experiences that illustrated again how easy it is for Havening to spread with retained and even enhanced value.

Philippines - March 2025
Next we shared Havening in Dumaguete, Philippines with the help of a local Havening practitioner from the US, and his Filipino wife. We went to a home for boys with an afterschool tutoring program, a Christian primary school, and an orphanage. In these settings we again taught staff first. In the primary school the students had left for the day, but the teachers practiced leading each other in Havening. These teachers had many songs and recitations for practicing guiding Havening in the classroom, and it was one of the most useful workshops we have ever had.
